Message from The Head of Department
Bomet University's School of Business and Economics is home to the Department of Management Science. FACULTY PROFILES

Dr. Geoffrey Biwott

Dr. Geoffrey Biwott Dr. G.K. Biwott is a Lecturer in the School of Business and Economics at Bomet University College. He is a holder of PhD in Business Management (DBM), Master of Business Management (MBM) and Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) from Moi University. He has a wealth of experience in teaching, research and supervision of students. His research interest is in the areas of Emotional Intelligence, Transformational Leadership and Knowledge Sharing Behaviour and a member of different professional Bodies locally and globally.

Prof. Philip Bii

Prof. Phillip Bii is the Dean, School of Business and Economics, Bomet University College. He holds a PhD in Business Management (Strategic Management), Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Moi University. His research interest is on leadership and Emotional Intelligence. He is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management and has a lot of experience years in both Academic and Corporate World. He is an Associate Member of African Academic of Management and Kenya Institute of Management.

Dr. Henry Cheruiyot

Dr H. K. Cheruiyot is a Lecturer in School of Business and Economics at Bomet University College. He is a graduate of Moi University with PhD in Business Management (Strategic Management) 2018. He holds Masters in Business Management Administration (2007) Bachelor of Arts (1991) in Economics and Business Studies both from Kenyatta University. Dr H. K. Cheruiyot has held various senior positions both in Public and Private sector in Kenya. Notably Principal Labor Officer, Ministry of Labour in Kenya; also Human Resource Manager Kaisugu Ltd, Head of Administration for two years and now Lecturer both at Bomet University College and also being in-charge of Stakeholders Engagement at the University College. His main desire has been and continues to excel in research, teaching, training, and development of high performing students and business clientele. He has undergone training both nationally Kenya Institute of Administration in Kenya and internationally in Zimbabwe, Egypt and Italy in Strategic Human Resource Management. He is member of Institute of Human Resource Management and strives to excel in being Good Neigbour's Keeper.

Dr. John Wanjala

Dr. John Wekesa Wanjala is a Lecturer in the school of Business and Economics. He holds PhD in HRM, Masters in Business Administration (HRM option), Bachelor of Business Administration (HRM option), and Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management. He has supervised masters’ students to graduation, has researched extensively in the area of people living with disability and has published extensively in the international peer review journals. He is knowledgeable in the areas of Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Labour Laws, Business Laws, Company Laws, Economic Development, Conflict management and general management. He is a member of Institute of Human Resource Management.

Dr. Robert Sangura Ramari

Dr. Sangurah Ramari Mukhebi Robbert is a Lecturer of Entrepreneurship in the School of Business and Economics . He holds an earned Ph.D in Entrepreneurship Development (Policy) and an MSc. Entrepreneurship Studies, both from Moi University and a B.Ed Arts (Economics / Geography) Degree from Maseno University. He is a Certified Enterprise Development Agent by the UNDP-K and full member of the Kenya Institute of Management. He is an author and publisher in Entrepreneurship Development and Niche Entrepreneurship Policy. He currently coordinates Examinations in the Department of Management Science and Entrepreneurship, Post Graduate Programs and Research in the School of Business & Entrepreneurship.

Dr. Richard Rotich

Dr. Richard Rotich is a Lecturer in the school of Business and Economics. He holds a PhD in Business management (Strategic Management) from Moi University, Kenya; Master of Business Administration from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Egerton University. His research interest is in field of Human Resource capabilities, Employee retention, Work arrangements, Organizational competitiveness and Quality of work life; He is an associate member KIM and a member IHRM; also, a career motivational speaker. He is a lecturer in the field of management science and has authored and published papers in referred journals. In 2017, he attended a six weeks Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP) training at the Kenya School of Government. He has a wide range of experience in teaching, training and management both in public and private sectors.
